Her story
Balance was a practice long before it was a business
Joyce's work began where most real change begins: at home, with a full week, a household to feed and questions no single expert could answer. Nutrition alone did not explain why some weeks felt steady and others did not. Spirituality, relationships, work and money were all part of it.
So she built a framework that holds all five together, and a way of coaching that treats people as whole — with histories, households and food they love.
Cultural roots
Your food, your faith, your family
Joyce coaches from a deeply held conviction that wellbeing should never ask you to abandon your heritage. Traditional greens, grains and stews belong in a nourishing life. Coaching adapts preparation, balance and rhythm — not identity.
Faith and community sit at the centre of that work for many of the people she coaches, and there is room for it here without pressure on anyone who comes differently.
Coaching philosophy
Small, honest steps — repeated
- Start where you are, not where a plan says you should be
- Change one rhythm at a time and let it hold
- Guard the whole life, not one metric
- No shame, no restriction as punishment
- Work alongside your clinicians, never around them
- Practical skills over willpower
